As of March 2024, almost all participant spit samples have successfully had their DNA extracted at UK Biocentre and we are expecting to receive the final data soon.

The next step is to send the DNA samples in batches for genotyping (working out the genetic make-up) at Thermo Fisher. Some batches have been sent, but there are still more to go. Thermo Fisher need about 10 weeks to genotype each batch. When they have done this, they send us back the data.

DecodeME then needs to compare this data against the general population and analyse the results. When we are entirely convinced we’ve done the best possible job, and it is as definitive as possible, we will publish these results.
