DecodeME is committed to recruiting a sample of participants that is representative of the ME community. This is why there has been a large focus on ensuring that the process is inclusive to people with severe or very severe ME as well as including those who manage their symptoms by pacing. The team will monitor the participant demographics, including severity of disease, age and ethnicity during recruitment to identify groups that may need more outreach to be included in the latter stages of recruitment.
